We love spreading the joy of gaming – and it’s even more fun when we team up with others! Here you’ll find some of our local partners in Stockholm who share our passion for board games. Together, we’ve helped them build small game libraries where visitors are welcome to explore and play.
Ugglan Boule & Bar
Ugglan is one of our favorite places in Stockholm for grown-up fun and games. With activities like boule, shuffleboard, and ping pong, it’s already a blast – and now, thanks to our partnership, you can also borrow board games from their in-house library! You’ll find the games in both the main bar and the cozy German Bar.
Playing is free, just remember to return the games when you’re done. And if there’s a game you’d love to see added to the collection – let the staff know!

Hop & Vine / Fox in a Box
Just down the street from our store on Sveavägen 118, you’ll find Hop & Vine – a cozy wine bar, board game café, and escape room all in one! Upstairs, you can enjoy great food and drinks while playing from their collection of board games, many of which come from us at Dragon’s Lair. As long as you keep ordering, playing is free. Otherwise, a small gaming fee applies to help keep their game library fresh and growing.
Looking for a different kind of challenge? They also offer a portable escape room that can be played right in the bar or in a private room.

SMASH Gaming Association
Looking to join a welcoming board game group? We warmly recommend our friends at SMASH! Every Wednesday (except during summer), they meet at Folkes café in Huddinge Centrum from 6 PM until closing. It’s free to join in, and everyone’s welcome – whether you're new to the hobby or a seasoned gamer.
They also host the annual convention SMASHCON, where members can win some great prizes!

Leksaksbiblioteket Stockholm
We’re proud to support Leksaksbiblioteket – a wonderful initiative where families can borrow toys instead of buying new ones. Based in Bagarmossen, this toy library gives games and toys a longer life, helping reduce both waste and costs. We’ve happily donated a few board games to their collection, now available to borrow just like books at a regular library.
You’ll find them at Bagarmossens Folkets Hus – open on Tuesdays 1–5 PM, Wednesdays 1–6 PM, and Saturdays 10 AM–3 PM.
