In the year 2442, Earth faces total destruction. Rising sea levels have submerged former land areas under vast oceans. Inspired by Jules Verne's visions and equipped with the latest technology, a deep-sea city, "New Eden," is built with a central dome atop a "White Smoker," a seabed vent releasing water up to 300°C.

This stream forms a fundamental resource for inhabitants (represented by coins in the game), and from there, the station continuously expands with useful modules from the last mega-factories at the base of Mount Everest or from the black market to obtain additional resources, points, and lucrative advantages. However, many of these well-meaning actions can damage "New Eden." Will the station withstand the damage or collapse? Only those who balance progress and destruction can score points in the final tally. The player who has built the most points and thus the safest and most habitable station wins "New Eden."

In detail, New Eden lasts for three rounds. Each round, module cards are revealed and placed in four rows. Players take turns buying a card from the supply, using oxygen to perform an action with a diver on a module, or passing. When buying a card, the cost can range from 10 coins + 3 repaired damage to 1 coin + 1 damage. When a row is empty, all cards move down one step, making them cheaper but potentially more damaging. All cards in the supply are discarded when everyone has passed.

After all players have passed, the black market phase begins. Each player draws three cards from the black market deck, while the remaining cards are placed in rows in the supply. Pay for any cards with coins and damage, then place the remaining cards in a row in the supply.

Players then bid on a row in the supply, each row consisting of a combination of discarded black market cards and empty slots allowing you to move a diver and activate a module. When all four rows have been auctioned off, players have a short scoring and cleanup phase before the next round.

After three rounds, if your damage level exceeds the gauge on your player board, you score no points at the end of the game and only retain points accumulated during the game. The player with the highest score wins.
