Throw Throw Avocado is unlike any other game you've played before. In this dodgeball card game, you go head-to-head with your opponents by collecting cards while throwing and dodging soft, adorable avocados. Play Throw Throw Avocado as a standalone sequel, or use the included bonus cards and combine them with the cards from Throw Throw Burrito to unlock a new combination game with all four throwing objects!
Here's how it works: Place a pair of avocados on a table and draw cards. Keep your cards secret. Score points by finding three-of-a-kind in the deck. If someone plays Avocado cards, a battle erupts. Steal points from your opponents by hitting them with soft toy avocados. Challenge your friends. Some battles involve only a few players, while others force the entire table to participate in an Avocado war. In an Avocado duel, two players must stand back-to-back, take three steps, and fire.
There's no clear turn order. All players are constantly picking and passing cards, similar to Spoons. When a player has a match of some kind, the game transitions into various Avocado duels – Double Brawl, Leg Duel, Freeze War – where some or all players throw the soft avocado at each other.
To win, a player must collect a certain number of points. Collecting matching cards and matching battle cards earns positive points, while losing Avocado duels results in negative points. The first player to reach a specific number (usually five) wins.
