In "Rats of Wistar," you play as one of four rats who organized an escape from a laboratory. You must lead your family to prove that you are the most deserving to lead the entire colony. With your extraordinary skills, you can explore the farm, find appetizing cheese, and use abandoned human objects to create new inventions and expand your nest under the trees. Meet native rats and mice that you can welcome into your family, and when needed, visit the Alchemist Mouse to gain extra advantages.

The game takes place over 5 rounds (corresponding to the 5 days the challenge lasts), and you collect victory points (VPs) by:

Building beds
Excavating rooms
Completing farm missions
Welcoming host mice
Building new inventions
Earning achievements
At the end of the game, the player with the most victory points wins. In case of a tie, the player furthest ahead in the turn order wins.
