Wondrous Creatures Winterfall is an expansion to Wondrous Creatures that takes us back to Starbeak Island five years after the events of the base game. Winter has settled heavily over the island, and Captain Freya has grown into a more experienced and self-assured leader. This is an expansion for those who want to give the game more variety, more movement on the board, and a new seasonal feel without losing its charming core.

The big news is the weather. Blizzards, northern lights, and other shifting weather phenomena change the main board and make the worker placement aspect more unpredictable. Some locations can suddenly provide powerful effects, while others disrupt your Habitats and force you to rethink your strategy. This makes each round feel more alive, where you not only plan based on what you want to do, but also on how the island changes before you.
