By 2050, the world is in chaos. Tidal waves lash the coasts, destroying everything in their path. Hurricanes appear out of nowhere, leveling entire cities, while uncontrollable firestorms sweep across almost every continent. Viruses rage unchecked. Within this chaos, insidious factions work from the shadows, conducting disinformation campaigns and mobilizing mercenaries to gather a new, mysterious energy resource of immense power. These factions, led by ruthless warlords, fight for power and control, but also for the fate of humanity. The Shadow Conflict begins.
Risk: Shadow Forces is a legacy-style game where you write on your game, mark it, put stickers on it, and even throw away parts of it. Each game session changes future games. All players shape how their world develops: its history, cities, even factions and how they fight. Cards and stickers come into play. Unlock new rules and watch events unfold with each game session. No game will ever be the same.
The game includes four sealed envelopes and one sealed container. You will receive instructions to open these envelopes as you play your campaign missions in order.
Warlords have emerged not only to lead the various factions but also to carry out secret missions. Each of these secret missions is a battle-level game that will have a direct impact on the world map in certain unknown secret locations.
