Excalibur is a lighthearted and fun party game where cunning, laughter, and a little friendly betrayal are central. This is the perfect game for those curious about board games but don't want to get bogged down in long rules – you learn it in a couple of minutes and start playing right away!
What is the game about?
Legend says only the true king can pull Excalibur from the stone. But in this game, it's less about nobility and more about being craftier than everyone else around the table.
Each round, all players simultaneously draw tokens from Avalon's three mystical regions! Then they are revealed one by one, and their effects are activated. Using powers inspired by Arthurian legend, you try to find the legendary sword, take it – and above all, keep it in your hands.
The trick? Everyone else wants it too. And no one has any qualms about taking it from you.
The game ends when one of Avalon's regions runs out of tokens. The one who then holds Excalibur wins – but if no one does, everyone loses. Cooperation or selfishness? It's up to you.
