You awaken, disoriented, foggy. You are alone... silence. You stumble through shadowy corridors covered in mycelium snaking toward you. Impenetrable, blackened clouds of terrifying mist hang in a cramped tunnel swarming with unnatural fungal forms beckoning you closer. Ghastly black figures move through the effluvia spurring paranoid thoughts as your inner voice asks "is anyone there or am I losing my mind?" You start to feel weak, your psyche slipping, your fear growing. Your survival instinct suddenly kicks in and you realize if you stay here much longer you might never leave. Can you escape Black Mold?

In Black Mold, you are an escaped prisoner trying to find your way out of an abandoned underground prison facility. Black, pulsating fungal growths cover every surface in these corridors, emitting ghostly clouds that poison the air. To avoid inhaling the noxious, hallucinogenic mist, you must limit your exposure and make your escape. This is simulated in the game by limiting the length of your turn to how long you can physically hold your breath.

A tense, "cooperate until it's not" survival horror with 70 areas to uncover and survive, many items to find and craft, 6 unique prisoners to play, and multiple win conditions make each terrifying escape different from the last.
