This edition of Bites includes a four-page illustrated rulebook and promises an engaging gameplay experience in just 20 minutes, full of interaction without direct conflict.
Players guide their ants along a path, collecting food and strategizing their moves. However, the value of the food becomes a shared enigma, as it is determined by the movements of the other ants on the path.
Bites invites players to a tactical dance with common goals, where players must constantly interpret and anticipate their opponents' next moves. With the game's variable "rule cards," unique game rules are shaped for each round, guaranteeing a constantly renewed gameplay experience.
The game begins by laying out a food path. Each player's turn allows movement of any ant to the next food piece that matches the ant's color. The player then chooses to take a food token in front of or behind the ant, which is saved for scoring at the end of the game round.
The final value of the food remains a mystery until the corresponding ant reaches the anthill, creating an exciting dynamic where players cooperate and compete simultaneously.
During the game, chances to collect chocolate and wine increase, offering opportunities for special moves and bonus points.
