Ryūgan the Katana – Shadow is part of the Stronghold Masters Collection and is crafted for those who value both elegance and performance in their LARP weaponry. Named after the “dragon’s eye,” it combines control, fluid motion and a refined presence. Its silhouette draws inspiration from traditional katana forms, adapted for fantasy settings and fast-paced action.

This latest version has been streamlined and rebalanced, making it noticeably easier to handle than earlier iterations. It is constructed from latex-free injection-moulded EVA foam around a reinforced fiberglass core, with a Kevlar-reinforced tip for added durability. The slightly slimmer profile makes it ideal for high-intensity combat while retaining the distinctive softness and resilience associated with the Stronghold range.

The Shadow edition features a sleek black blade, offering a subtle yet powerful aesthetic. The handle is wrapped in classic katana style, with cross-laced canvas forming small squared segments that provide a secure and comfortable grip, even during extended use. The balance rests naturally between hilt and blade, allowing for fluid movement without sacrificing the satisfying weight of each strike.

Its stylized tsuba adds a fantasy element to an otherwise traditional look. The guard can be removed or replaced with other Stronghold-compatible options, giving you the freedom to customize your configuration to suit different characters or styles.
