Annulet

Annulet is a 1–4 player strategy board game set in the world of The Old King's Crown. It is designed to feel like an ancient game from that setting, something that could be played just as naturally in a noisy tavern as in a grand hall, with tactile wooden, cloth and stone components helping bring the fantasy world to the table.

Each round, players compete for initiative and draft cards from a shared river to build their own kingdoms. These cards may be lands, characters or annulets, and each plays a different role. Lands form valuable sets, characters alter the lands they are placed on to create clever scoring opportunities, and annulets provide precious stones that work as both a currency for extra actions and an end game bonus.

The heart of Annulet is the tension between scoring crowns and improving your action economy. Strong sets can bring you closer to victory, but stones give you flexibility, and flexibility often matters when the right card appears at the wrong time. Each player also has access to a personal supply of fate cards, whose special abilities can shift momentum, disrupt plans or help you take control of a key moment.
