In an eerie hunt among dust and cobwebs, you creep through the places of the night, looking for souls to feed on. You have done this since time immemorial, or so you believe; you have no memories of living as a human, like those you catch and consume. But human traces remain; your fingers draw delicate arabesques in the soil at your gravesite, and with those graceful movements come whispered songs in a language you have forgotten. Far away, in a museum, your portrait hangs in oil, painted by a master who died five hundred years ago – perhaps you were lovers, but the diary you had then is long gone.

Thousand Year Old Vampire is a solo game where you follow the story of a vampire through centuries of their existence. You make choices and respond to prompts to create a unique narrative. Follow the guiding prompts, and the vampire will surprise you by doing unexpected and sometimes unpleasant things. Making difficult decisions and handling complex narrative aspects are at the core of this game.

You will need one ten-sided and one six-sided die. A quick game session takes thirty minutes, while a more thoughtful and writing-intensive game session can take two or three hours. Embark on this dark adventure and create your own unique vampire story spanning a thousand years.
