Life in the Stone Age was hard. As hunters, gatherers, farmers, and toolmakers, our ancestors toiled, their bones and backs aching from dragging heavy wooden plows through stony soil. Of course, progress didn't stop with wooden plows. People constantly sought and invented better tools and more productive crops to streamline and simplify their harsh daily lives.
In the game "Stone Age," players are placed in this era. They collect wood and sticks, mine stone and clay, and pan for gold from the river. Bartering takes place, villages are expanded, and the population is civilized. Balance skill with a touch of luck and ensure your population doesn't starve. Players can use up to ten villagers in the game's three phases. In the first phase, villagers are placed in areas on the board to hunt, gather resources, cultivate, acquire tools, and obtain civilization cards that can be activated immediately or award points at the final count. In the second phase, the placed villagers are activated in the order of the player's choosing. In the third phase, the people must be fed, or else resources or points are lost. The game continues until a certain number of new huts have been built by the players. The player with the most points wins.
