You have studied the film clips, connected the clues, and gathered the few pieces of evidence you could find. You are close now - soon the whole world will know the truth behind Cryptid. A group of like-minded cryptozoologists has united to finally reveal the elusive beast, but the glory of the discovery is too valuable to share. Without revealing too much of what you know, you will never succeed in locating the beast, but reveal too much and your name will be forgotten!
Cryptid is a unique deduction game based on honest misdirection, where players must try to uncover information about their opponents' clues while misleading them away from their own. Each player has a clue that helps them find the creature, and on their turn, they can try to get more information from their opponents. Be careful - if you reveal too much, your opponents might get ahead and claim the credit for finding the mysterious animal!
The game includes a modular game board, five clue books, and a deck of setup cards that provide hundreds of possible setups at two difficulty levels. It is also supported by a completely optional digital companion, which allows for quick game setup and offers an almost infinite variety of puzzles.
