It all started in 2004 with two friends who shared a passion for games. They missed having a second living room, a place where one could meet both new and old friends, create connections, and build lasting memories through games, joy, and community.
This dream has now become a reality and forms the heart of Dragon's Lair. From a simple idea among friends, we have grown and developed, but the core of community and friendship remains. From our first steps in a basement on Kungsholmen focused on card and computer games, we now have two central locations in Stockholm, filled with board games, card games, and role-playing games. And we are always close at hand online.
With us, you will find passionate game enthusiasts who welcome you with open arms, regardless of your background or gaming preferences. Our vision is to create a place where you feel at home, with a selection that satisfies every gamer’s wishes. We are passionate about helping you find the games that suit you and your friends so that you can create your own "second living room." Spreading games, joy, and community is our driving force.

On Sveavägen, we focus on board games, role-playing games, and everything you need for them. Our lending library is also here, so you can try out different games before deciding which ones to take home. Come and explore our extensive selection and find your new favorites!
In our premises at Kungsholmstorg, our non-profit association runs an activity full of games, joy, and community. Here, we have space for 150 happy enthusiasts who gather to play the games our members love. Our association has a wide range of interests, offering card games like Magic, Pokémon, and Yu-Gi-Oh!, board games, role-playing games, miniature games, video games, and creative groups that design games and create game-inspired art.
All our groups organize various events managed by dedicated volunteers. These include large tournaments like the Swedish Championships, European and World Championship qualifiers, as well as regular game nights like beginner board game evenings. Feel free to explore our calendar to see what’s happening with us!
We also hold training sessions and actively work to develop the gaming culture in Sweden. We gladly participate in fairs and visit youth centers, hospitals, workplaces, and nursing homes. With our passion, we aim to inspire more people to find community and joy through games.
Johan Nilsson
Founder of Dragon's Lair. Nowadays, he has too little time on the shop floor and at the association's gaming tables, instead handling all the things that need to be done for the business to run smoothly. Johan is the jack of all trades and knows a bit of everything, but for many years he has focused primarily on board gaming.
Johan Disenborg
Disen is our foremost Magic expert and has been playing actively since the mid-90s. With a passion for collectible card games, Disen runs the store at Kungsholmstorg. If you have any questions about cards or accessories, Disen likely has the answer.
Umair R Naseer
Like a search engine, Umair finds the unique and fun collectible toys that you just have to have. If you're looking for a trendy toy or collectible item, talk to Umair, and there's a good chance it will appear in the Toy Hall's assortment.
Amanda Robertsson
With a teacher's sense of order, Amanda ensures the games and routines in the store are well-organized. With her cheerful disposition and passion for board games, Amanda spreads our guiding principle of "Joy of Gaming."
Jens Thernström
Jens is responsible for our social media, board game purchases and marketing. Jens is our living information hub, testing more new games than most and never missing any news in the board game world. He uses this knowledge to ensure that you find the best and latest games on our shelves.
Joakim Ekström
Joakim is our reliable man on Kungsholmen. When he's not in some fantasy world playing a role, he plays an important role in the store with his knowledge and interest in card games.
Alice Rådell
You might not see Alice at the checkout often, but if you've ordered something from Kungsholmstorg, there's a good chance Alice has had a hand in it. Otherwise, you can meet Alice at Pokémon events and soon at upcoming Disney Lorcana events.
Patrik Thor
Patrik is responsible for our events, both in our own premises and external events. With an education in leisure management and over six years of experience working in the school system, Patrik organizes many fun and educational activities, such as our popular Pokemon school.
Sofia Sjöberg
With a combination of long experience from Dragon's Lair and her training to become a special ed. teacher, Sofia is an important part of our team. Her sharp eye for details and structured way of working means that she always makes sure that everything runs smoothly. Sofia has a broad taste in games, but is especially drawn to cooperative and murder mystery games.
Andrea Blecker
Andrea is our latest addition and has already made a strong impression. With a background in sewing and visual merchandise, and a future in front end development, she contributes with creativity and precision. Andrea really enjoys RPG and believes that you can never have too many dice. She also has solid knowledge of fantasy and adventure themed games.
Saga Sporrong
Saga is always ready to jump in where she is needed, be it in the warehouse, at the cash register, or out among the shelves to help customers find the right game. She loves to maximize strategies and get the most out of every game round, but she also makes sure that everything around her is of a high aesthetic standard.
