Description
In "Feed the Kraken," a hidden roles and deduction game, three asymmetric factions vie for control. All players are on the same ship but navigate in different directions! Loyal sailors must steer the ship to the mainland, pirates secretly maneuver towards the Bermuda Triangle, and a mad cultist aims to summon Kraken from the depths to save them all.
How to Play?
At the start of the journey, you receive a secret marker indicating your allegiance – loyal sailor, cunning pirate, or fanatic cult leader. Only pirates know each other. Everyone else tries to identify teammates or convert them to their cult. Rum-induced visions, cabin searches, interrogations, and mermaids help you uncover the true loyalty of other players.
Who Can Navigate?
The goal is to steer the ship towards your faction's destination. Each faction wants to reach a different part of the board. Each round, the ship sails in one of three directions – but which one? The captain and their lieutenant study charts and issue orders to the navigator, who makes the final decision. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew drinks rum, plays games, and tells tales of sea monsters.
Who Do We Trust?
After each navigation, the lieutenant and navigator are replaced, and the captain must find new candidates. Everyone discusses the navigation, evaluates the course, and decides on future responsibilities. Convince enemies to make you the next lieutenant or navigator, or take over the ship through mutiny! How long can you maintain the crew's trust? The next mutiny could be brewing if your decisions displease your shipmates.
"Feed the Kraken" is a sophisticated social deduction game set in a beautiful vintage nautical environment for 5-11 players.
