In From the Abyss, a new expansion for Unfathomable, the SS Atlantica and its voyage to Boston are in even greater peril. New, terrifying monsters are emerging from the Atlantic Ocean to assault the ship, and the ocean’s waves have grown so violent that they can sweep passengers overboard. New betrayals are here to sabotage the ship, and with the mythos deck doubling in size, new dangers threaten the Atlantica at every turn.
Fortunately, the humans aboard have some new tools at their disposal. In addition to eight new playable characters, players now have access to Ally Cards that move independently around the ship and help keep it afloat. New Prelude Cards can change the conditions at the start of the game and provide even more variety so no two games are ever played the same way. With new skills, items, and the brand-new Perk Cards, the struggle for the SS Atlantica has never been so intense!
A new expansion for Unfathomable offering expanded content and several new mechanics:
Rescuing passengers now grants players access to Allies who can aid the humans in many useful ways.
Three new monsters, known as “horrors”—the Shoggoth, the Drowned Spirit, and the Grasping Tendril—assault the ship, each incredibly dangerous and difficult to defeat.
New Prelude Cards come in three different varieties and change the conditions at the start of the game, providing unfathomable levels of replayability.
With additional playable characters, items, skills, and more, this expansion builds upon the base game and gives players more of everything that makes Unfathomable so exciting to play!
