Many people live in the Grannsämjan neighborhood, all with their eccentricities and personalities. Now they have gathered for a party, but things don't quite go as planned. The good neighborly harmony is replaced by lies, jealousy, intrigue, and ends with murder.

The Haraldsson Family:
Harriet Haraldsson: Tonight's hostess, married to Harry. Harriet is a self-employed professional in the recruitment industry. A know-it-all who constantly compares herself and everyone in her family to the neighbors. She wants to show off with the most expensive car, the finest house, the latest gadgets, and the most stylish designer clothes. She wants her children to appear the best in everything and always brags about how fantastic they are.
Harry Haraldsson: Tonight's host, married to Harriet. Harry is a self-employed professional in the electrical industry and is considered an ordinary man. Most people know he's quite tired of his wife but chooses to keep up appearances. The question is, what lies beneath the perfect surface at the Haraldssons'? One of their sons is a hard rocker and plays hard rock music around the clock. This is something that almost drives the neighbors crazy as they have to endure the (un)noise day and night.
The Jansson Family:
Janina Jansson: Married to Janne Jansson. Janina works in theater and is a typical artistic type. Janina decorates her entire garden with art, everything from painted tire rims to tree decorations. She has painted one gable of the house as a work of art. She herself thinks it's very beautiful, but to the neighbors, it mostly looks like a dump.
Janne Jansson: Married to Janina. Janne works as a salesman for an insurance company. Janne is a kind person deep down, but it still feels like he's hiding something. What's really going on between Janina and Janne? Are they truly happy together?
The Nilsson Family:
Nina Nilsson: Married to Nisse Nilsson. Nina is a former addict and has lived a hard life but has now found peace and quiet with Nisse. Nina and Nisse met when Nina was attending counseling sessions with him. Nisse was then married to Svetlana Svensson-Nilsson. Through therapy, Nina has found her way to God. She does everything to convince as many people as possible to follow the path she has now chosen. Nina likes to play psychologist in front of others and deeply analyzes everything. The neighbors are really starting to find it tiresome. Nina is an abstainer and nowadays doesn't drink a drop of alcohol.
Nisse Nilsson: Nisse was previously married to Svetlana Svensson-Nilsson but is now married to Nina. Nisse works as a psychologist, and if you've read Nina's character description, you know how Nina and Nisse met. How is Nina really doing? Does Nisse regret his divorce from Svetlana?
The Svensson Family:
Svetlana Svensson-Nilsson: Married to Sven Svensson. They are new arrivals, but Svetlana has lived in the neighborhood before. She was then married to Nisse Nilsson (who is now married to Nina). Svetlana is from Russia. Rumors say she carries secrets.
Sven Svensson: Married to Svetlana Svensson-Nilsson. Sven is fanatically passionate about reptiles, and one of the rooms in their new house is entirely dedicated to his little darlings. One can perhaps understand what the neighbors think about him having a room full of reptiles. They have reported him multiple times, especially when the snakes go on their own little adventures in the neighborhood. What goes on behind closed doors at the Svenssons'? Maybe it will crawl out tonight?
The Olofsson Family
Ofelia Olofsson: Married to Olof Olofsson. Ofelia is a real bombshell. She flirts wildly with most people in the neighborhood. She says she makes a living as a singer in a rock band, but rumors suggest otherwise. Ofelia invites her more or less criminal friends and throws parties all night long.
Olof Olofsson: Married to Ofelia. Olof is a very quiet and shy man, and he probably knows he has a reputation for being a nerd. He does everything for his wife, and he doesn't seem to understand how she carries on in the neighborhood. Olof is an inventor and mostly stays in the house's basement with his inventions. How long will it be before Olof realizes what Ofelia is up to? And can two such mismatched people stay together forever?
