At 11:40 PM on April 14, 1912, in the North Atlantic, the R.M.S. Titanic collides with an iceberg. Water immediately streams into the ship's compartments, and the vessel lists dangerously to starboard. There is no hope of survival. Widespread panic ensues on board.
Alone or in cooperation with other crew members, you must show determination and act correctly to save as many passengers as possible. Time is running out...
The card game SOS Titanic uses a mechanism similar to Solitaire, where cards represent passengers who must be placed on deck and then arranged in lifeboats in a specific order. As one of the crew members, you and your teammates must move and arrange these passengers as quickly as possible. Each part of the Titanic has a deck where only the top card is available.
On their turn, a player draws some cards from the main deck and tries to move passengers from the sinking ship to the lifeboats. If the player fails to move at least one passenger or if the main deck needs to be reshuffled, a part of the ship may sink, reducing the number of available piles and the hope for those still on board. Players can also use action cards to intervene in critical moments when all else seems lost. The game ends when the ship has completely sunk or when all remaining passengers have been rescued.
