The EirikR Sword – Steel is a historically inspired LARP sword that immediately evokes the great men and sagas of the Viking Age. The model was developed in collaboration between the artisans at Epic Armoury and archaeologists from Lejre Land of Legends, and is designed to mimic the famous Osted sword found in 1887 near Osted in Lejre, Denmark.

The original was characterized by a pattern-welded blade and decorative details in silver and copper in a herringbone pattern on the guard and pommel, embellishments suggesting that the sword may have belonged to a king or a highly esteemed housecarl. In the Steel version, the more minimalist, steel-colored expression is emphasized, giving the weapon a robust and believable character with a clear historical feel.

As part of the Stronghold Master Collection, the sword is constructed to be durable and safe for LARP, while its design closely resembles the archaeological original. With a length of 83 cm, it offers a balanced and present feel in the hand – equally suitable in the mead hall, on the deck of a Viking ship, or in the thick of battle.
