In Villainous, each player will control one of the villains in their own Disney movie. Each player has their own deck of cards, a fate deck, a player board, and a 3D figure.
On their turn, the active player will move their character to a new location on their player board, then perform one or more of the visible actions at that location, often by playing cards from their hand. When the player is finished, they draw new cards so that they always have 4 cards in hand. The cards will represent allies, items, effects, and for some characters, curses. You will need to use the cards to achieve your unique win condition.
One of the available actions allows you to choose another player, draw two cards from their fate deck, and then play one of those two cards onto the chosen opponent's player board. In this way, you cover spaces on the opponent's board. The opponent must then use their own cards to overcome the obstacle you have placed in their way.
The player who first achieves their own win condition and evades their opponents' twists of fate will win Disney Villainous.
