In Codenames, two teams compete to be the first to guess all their words correctly — but these words are hidden in a 5x5 grid that also contains the opposing team's words, neutral words, and a game-ending card that makes you lose the game immediately if you guess it. One person on each team is a spymaster, and only these two know which words belong to which team. The spymasters take turns giving one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the board. Their teammates try to guess the correct words while avoiding those that belong to the opposing team — and everyone wants to avoid the game-ending card. This version also includes 4x4 grid cards without a game-ending card to make it more accessible for families and children.
