Treasure Hunter is a fast-paced and entertaining card game by Richard Garfield, published by Queen Games. With a mix of strategy and luck, players each round receive a set of cards, choose one at a time, and build their hand to send adventurers to three different areas: snowy mountains, deep jungles, and burning volcanoes. The goal is to win the most valuable treasures while avoiding or fending off annoying goblins.
The game offers a nice balance between simplicity and tactics. With special cards that give extra points, protect against goblins, or affect other players, every choice matters. The colorful components and clear game board make the game suitable for younger players aged 8 and up, as well as adults who want a light but engaging game. Treasure Hunter plays in about 35 minutes and works equally well with two or six players.
