In "Rafter Five," you and your fellow players embark on a creative and strategic journey to build the biggest raft – with the goal of being the only one who can step aboard. The game begins by stacking the game box lid and bottom to create a base. Then, you place the five wooden raft pieces on the starting card on top of the base.
The game's turn order is simple but full of strategic decisions. On your turn, you lift a raft piece, place a raft card on the play area, replace the raft piece, and then place one of your treasure chests somewhere on the raft. Placement is crucial – the ideal is to place the treasure chest in a risky position. If another player accidentally bumps and drops your treasure chest, they must take care of it in their supply. The first player to collect five treasure chests owned by other players in their supply is out of the game! (You can drop your own chests without penalty, but remember that this makes the game easier for your opponents.)
