The EirikR Sword – Gold is an impressive LARP sword with a historically rooted design, inspired by the so-called Osted sword found in 1887 near Osted in Lejre, Denmark. The model was developed in collaboration between the artisans at Epic Armoury and archaeologists from Lejre Land of Legends, with the ambition of recreating a weapon that reflects the Viking Age's design language and status.

The original sword was characterized by a pattern-welded blade and decorative details in silver and copper in a herringbone pattern on the guard and pommel, embellishments that suggest it may have belonged to a king or a highly esteemed housecarl. This interpretation lives on in the EirikR Sword, where the gold-colored details convey an expression of dignity and authority.
