For generations, the mist has held the forgotten island of Fjaldholmr captive. It is a prison, created by the island's last seiðr worker to lull the dreadful monster Drauginn – a demon of fire and shadows – to sleep. But the mist also holds all other inhabitants captive on the haunted island. Ingrunn, the last völva, prophesied that heroes from foreign lands would one day break Fjaldholmr's curse.

Now, the prophecy seems to be coming true. For you, a group of strangers, have arrived on the island, and with you, destiny moves towards its judgment. Only the ancient artifacts that once put the demon to sleep can dispel the mist. To find them, you must interpret the völva's prophecy, explore the island's forgotten places, and defy the demonic cult Hraun, which strives to free Drauginn for good.
