In the expansion Carcassonne: Towers & Thieves, towers are built and guards are placed to protect your areas from lurking thieves. Towers can be taken over, but if your guards discover the thieves, you get points as a reward.

The expansion includes 13 new landscape tiles, 5 tower tiles, 20 tower levels, and a tower dispenser that serves as storage and a drawing point for the tiles. All this adds new strategic choices and excitement to the game. The base game Carcassonne is required for this expansion to work.
