Waterdeep, the City of Splendors – the most dazzling jewel in the Forgotten Realms and a place filled with political intrigues and shady back alleys. In this game, players are powerful lords vying for control of this magnificent city. Its treasures and resources are ripe for the taking, and what cannot be won through cunning and negotiation must be taken by force!

In Lords of Waterdeep, a strategic board game for 2-5 players, you take on the role of one of the masked Lords of Waterdeep, the city's secret rulers. Through your agents, you recruit adventurers to undertake quests for you, which brings rewards and increases your influence over the city. Expand the city by purchasing new buildings that open up new actions on the game board, and hinder – or help – the other lords by playing Intrigue cards to execute your meticulously crafted plans.

During the game, you can gain points or resources by completing quests, constructing buildings, playing Intrigue cards, or when other players use the buildings you have built. After 8 rounds, the player with the most points wins the game.
