no-thanks
No Thanks!

No Thanks is designed to be as simple as it is engaging.

The rules are easy; each turn, you, the player, have one of two choices to make. Either you play one of your poker chips on the face-up card to avoid taking it, or you take the face-up card and all the poker chips placed on it. Then you flip the next card from the deck, and the process continues.

But even though the rules are easy, players need to make tricky decisions. The player with the lowest score wins at the end of the game. The cards in the deck are numbered from 3-35; the value of the card is how many positive points the owner of the card receives at the end of the game. However, if you build a sequence of at least two cards, only the lowest card in the sequence counts towards your score at the end. The catch is that when the game starts, the deck is shuffled, and nine cards are removed. This means you never really know which cards are in play and if you'll be able to build the sequence you're aiming for.

This means that the poker chips, which are worth minus one point at the end of the game, can be even more valuable during the game as they allow you to decline an unwanted card.
